1898 Hallmarked Silver Purse with Silk Interior

Absolutely Magnificent 1898 Hallmarked Silver Purse with Silk Interior.  Made in Birmingham in 1898 and subsequently engraved with initials and the date "18th August 1900", possibly for someone's birthday, marriage or other notable event.  It is finely decorated with a floral swirl patterning both back and front.  The interior is lined with Silk and in very good condition for its age.  The purses closes but the clasp is weak.  The piece is absolutely beautiful inside and out.  It weighs 92.1 grams.  Dimensions 10cms Length x 7cms Width x 1.2cms Depth.  This item was purchased through a well known UK auction house and came form a substantial quality silver collection.  The item hasn't been cleaned, so had been photographed as is.
