1901 Victorian Hallmarked Silver Thimble by James Fenton Birmingham

This is an antique Hallmarked Silver Thimble.  Victorian Hallmarked 1901 Silver Thimble made by James Fenton of Great Hampton Street Birmingham.  This is hallmarked with James Fenton's first Assayed Makers Hallmark.  The thimble has dinks here and there as you can see from the images, but then we all would after more than 120 years!  There are some pin holes but this adds to its history.
James Fenton's Silversmiths operated in Birmingham from circa 1854 to 1956 as it was carried on by the family with the last makers hallmark used until approximately 1956.  James Fenton's business enjoyed prosperity and growth of its business as did many silversmiths in Birmingham during the 18th/19th Century.  The explosion of industry in Birmingham caused the demand for Birmingham Silver and Jewellery to grow many times over.  Birmingham's Jewellery quarters still exists to this day and enjoys worldwide fame for its Silver and Jewellery pieces.

• Items can take a maximum of 30 days for delivery, although I aim to deliver within a sooner timeframe.
• You have 14 Days from the receipt of item to return if you wish to do so.
• Return Postage is at the buyer’s cost.
• Responsibility for the safe return of the item is the buyer’s responsibility.
• Items damaged in transit on return will not be refunded and the buyer will be required to pay postage for return of the item back to them.
• A refund will be issued within 7 days of the return to my address.
• A return administration processing fee will be deducted from the refund as follows:
O Items under £10 = 25%
O Items £10 - £50 = 20%
O Items £50 - £100 = 15%
O Items over £100 = 10%
• Original Postage if originally charged will not be refunded
